Alpenrose - Description

Because many holidaymakers know how to find their way to "Kleinwalsertal" each year (during winter as well as summer), it therefore belongs to the most important regions of Austria. The impressing mountain world and snow guarantee therefore plays an important role. Not to mention the hospitality of the "Walser".

Included through the mountains is the "Kleinwalsertal" only reachable by car via Germany. To get to Austria from the dale, you need to cover 45km by car.

Riezlern, situated at the start of the dale, is with its town parts Wald, Schwende, Unterwestegg and Egg the biggest town in "Kleinwalsertal". Kleinwalsertal is a peaceful dale, encircled by 3 mountains with heights from 2000m. These mountains have 120 km slopes in all possible grades. The area even have Snow- and Fun parks, 45 km slopes, 7 toboggan, a skating lake and 50km winter hiking routes.

In the summer, the peaceful dale is very suitable for active hikers. The mountain world of Kleinwalsertal offers a hiking network of 150km with a height of 1000 up to 2536m. Even for the less trained hikers, there are lovely hiking roads with a less high climb. The local Tourist Information Offices organises theme hikes with a guide, who can discuss it with you in advance. But the Kleinwalsertal more than hiking roads. Mountain bike lovers can make lovely route trips here, nature lovers will come across diverse herbs, which is even used often in the kitchen, and culture lovers can visit various chapels and museums.
