Lots of hotels, restaurants and bars have wifi, but afaik the resort itself does not. Last time I visited was season of 2010/2011 though.

Yeah our hotel had wifi . 20 euro's for 6 days .

There are quite some hotels with free wifi (Hotel Le Val Thorens for example). But in the Centre Commercial there are some bars offering it as well..

I don't know about Val Thorens, but the wi-fi in our apartment block in Meribel wasn't very good during peak times. It was fine at, say 1 a.m. but useless in the evenings. We ended up paying to use a British dongle we'd brought with us, as this was a more reliable source of the internet, and it was very annoying because we'd paid the apartment owners to use their wi-fi for the week.

Hotel Mercure has free wifi for residents, not sure about visitors.

as I seem to remember I had to go down to the Frog and Rostbif

and Andy 3 years ago the chalet in the Balcons didn't have wifi :roll:

Over the last few years Val Thorens has installed Wifi through-out the resort, in the past this has not been free. However it is now! It is also available whilst sitting on a lift (not all lifts at the moment)
