Ski Tousers / Salopettes in SHORT length (29")

I've been shopping for a new pair of ski pants and EVERYTHING seems to be in regular length - about 31inches inseam.

Does anyone know of a shorter length pant / salopette?

I have short legs I always turn mine up. If you don't fancy doing it, take them to a dressmaker.

It's a good idea to choose a trouser with a straight cuff, no zip or other opening.

This is why I couldn't bring myself to shell out for expensive salopettes. If they're going to look stupid on me because they're way too long, I'd be much happier buying some cheapos from Decathlon than paying a few hundred quid for a decent brand.

Why don't they make these things in different lengths? It must be just as bad for ppl with extra long legs, maybe worse.

Nope, just you little legged people My wife has 36inch legs and has had no problem finding trousers long enough.

Now you say that, mine must be longer than 32" as they go over my heel and half way down my foot. I'm going to try an get some waterproof trekking pants in a short size (if I can) and add layers underneath.

My spring ski trousers have an inseam of 29.5" . They are North Face Varius Guide Pants.
Just as well they fit me just so, they would be really hard to turn up with full length side zips!

31" with a pair of boots underneath aren't too long. I, too, need a shorter length but find this size OK.

I just roll them up until I get my boots on.

I've been considering these NF pants. Is that the standard length they come in? From what I've seen there is no choice in leg length. Also, are these pants heavily insulated?

I got them from a North Face UK shop. Just looked at the label and it says... M....hmmmm useful

Mine are unlined, no insulation, simple nylon inner. NF do an insulated version which is on their website along with the size chart.

Finally found several pairs of short ski pants in Lockwoods in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire.

Only brands I could find with short length pants were: Schoffel + Protest. Decathlon have some cheap pants at GBP25 which come in 2 lengths (under 1.8mt and over 1.8mt) but they're actually more like reg and long. Also a place in Gloucester that does a 27" leg but was sorted by then so didn't pursue.

I think most brands make the short and long version of whatever size. I end up having to get companies to special order longs for me. I wear 36" inseam, and regulars just look stupid! I would hope they do the same for the women's lines, but I have never checked that out.

I have the long length problem and struggle to find anything longer than 32". I would love to know from others on this site where you go to get your extra long pants. Am looking for some now so please if you read this will you add your suggestions to this area. Thanks so much

North Face pants are generally shorter in the leg than any other pants I have come across. In the past with my longer Columbia bottoms, I have found they look great with ski boots, nice and "ruffled" at the bottom of the legs, but annoying with trainers/apres ski shoes, so as the consensus seem to do, I roll them up like turn ups when I am out of boots.
Mind you, once I am out of boots I do tend to change out of all my ski gear. Apres is usually sitting in all gear inc boots, before returning to my accommodation and changing before going back out. Easy.
