Very much a piste ski, it skis quite short; I usually ski around a 175cm for all-mountain skis but 165cm on this was just about perfect.
It was typical Spring conditions last week, with boiler-plate re-frozen hard-pack first thing; softening nicely by mid-day and loose slush at the bottom by mid-afternoon. So a good variety of snow to test the ski.
Although incorporating the now obligatory tip rocker, it's basically a cambered ski with wood core and Titanal (careful how you spell/pronounce that!) construction. It feels very light under-foot and quick edge-to-edge, with a stiff and responsive ride.
What was most impressive was the way it gripped though; very stable at speed but easy to crank over into quick turns on the bullet-proof hard-pack at the start of the day. I don't think I've had so much fun on frozen corduroy (!) where a fatter/bigger ski would give a bone-jarring ride.
It was great in the rubble and softening snow, and only marginally less fun when things got really soft. Probably too stiff and narrow to be optimal in powder, but otherwise great.
I absolutely loved the "recce runs" I did whilst the family waited for things to soften up.
Summary - 5 stars from me! Fast turning and responsive piste ski that grips like a very grippy thing with claws...
