I think they are an alternative to ABTA etc for smaller specialist operators who don't want or can't afford to pay the ABTA levy as ABTA is a bit of a big boys cartel.
If you google them you'l find out more. I believe they are legit.

Guess if legit, they maybe can't afford abta, which will put people off but until they are more successful they can't do it.catch 22 situation.if the offer is amazinggo for it but maybe get extra insurance.
Old phrase if its too good to be true it normally isn't.
Is saving a few pounds worth it for a holiday.

If everyone wants an ATOL or ABTA label, then an awful lot of small and medium size tour op's will be ceasing trading. Which won't be a good thing, as large co. monopolies will affect prices and choice.

You can always look at Companies House records for Limited Companies
Skiing Holidays Ltd was set up in 2003 but has sat dormant ever since; new director appointed in 2010.
free info here > http://wck2.companieshouse.gov.uk/303d3fb65dade447ac54a97397b3f5ba/compdetails
or > http://wck2.companieshouse.gov.uk/303d3fb65dade447ac54a97397b3f5ba/wcprodorder?incexc=1
where you can buy more info...that might tell you whether the directors keep setting-up and closing down businesses.
Do your research and make a choice! All businesses have to start somewhere...and even the biggest go 'bump' and leave people stranded.

As a general rule...don't be fooled in believing telephone numbers represent where someone is based. I run my own business and just yesterday I was offered "local" telephone numbers for London, Bristol, Leeds, Manchester (and others) for just £4/month...."making yourself look 'local' will attract more customers" they said!
£4 is sooo cheap if you want to look like a 020 based company.
