Boot Recomendations for Thin Feet
Started by User in Ski Hardware - 29 Replies
Thought I would let you know the outcome.

Just had some spare time before going to the alps last week so popped into Snow and rock to see what they had. it was very busy but only had to wait 20 mins for a fitting. They confirmed that I had very thin feet and only a few types of boot would fit. When they went out back to find some they came back with none. They had nothing in my length that would fit my width. They tried to sell me some 100mm last boots at that point and I told them not to bother. At that point I remembered that Ski bartlett wasn't far away so went there. As soon as I walked in the fitting guy asked if he could help me. I told him what the score was and he measured my feet and then went over to the boot room to find some for me to try on. They must have had 200 pairs of boots on display in all diffrent sizes. Whereas in snow and rock I couldn't try any on in my size and width, ski bartlett had 7 pairs for me try on. It was great to try on so many and feel the difference in fit between them.

In the end I went for Salomon CS Pros which fitted great and gave me brilliant control and comfort through the whole holiday.

I am one happy man as I found the boots were mega bucks in the resort.

Thanks for all your help and advice on here.

I know but I have no choice as I live on a island where we don't have ski shops and by the time I have paid to come to England to buy a pair I may as well buy them in the resort.

What do you think?

Over here in Jersey we don't have a dry ski slope and space is extremely limited so I was thinking of trying to get one over here for people to practice on before they hit the slopes. Obviously it is very artificial as the terrian doesn't change like it does on the slopes but for getting the muscle meory side of things it looks pretty good.
