Looking to offload some spare stuff
Got 2 pairs-Rossignol Scratch Sprayer BC 182cm

In great condition-been professionally cared for.

"Rossignol Scratch Sprayer BC Ski is for those who ride everything at the ski area except the parking lot. Twintip of the Scratch Sprayer BC Ski has a fat waist for floating powder, cutting chop and stomping big landings. Scratch Sprayer BC is just as suited to a day riding the park as it is to hiking for backcountry kickers, turns over quickly on groomed runs and holds a solid edge on icy slopes. If you seek out powder after a storm, ride the park most days and like to carve big turns on groomers between it all, then Rossignol's Scratch Sprayer BC Ski is for you"

the other ones are on ebay:

Tignes Vs Claviere

never been to claviere but have friends and family who have and they rave about it-much prettier than tignes and cheaper certainly.
However, I love espace killy-been 4 times purely because the skiing is amazing. I dont have the experience of some of the smaller resorts to compare but the I dont think anyone would say that the skiing is poor! (never had the runs closed however so that would change my view)
I think it depends when yu are going-if you dont need the height of tignes Id go for claviere. What type of skiing are you looking for? Blues and reds or off piste? Steep blacks etc? The sache and le fornet are crackers in espace killy
La Tania info anyone?

ive stayed in la tania twice before-bth in april holidays and loved it both times.
tree runs back to the village are lovely and its one lift to the right over the meribel valley and two up into 1850
not so sure about SC being cheap though-youll need to take a van full of food and drink!

I wasnt shouting about it-clearly I am more inexperienced than I thought I was!
But I agree, interesting thread-if I do ever start instructing Ill take all the points on board!
Which skis?

i currently ski on the Scott RC which is possibly a bit stiff so Im going to suggest the Scott CX
Just make sure you try them out before you buy them-snowdome etc

i know i (unfortunately) am the one who started this entire discussion afetr using the foragonal (but I did say that its just a word that stuck in my head as it sounded funny)
but it is same with teaching-the best way to teach maths or skiing im sure is to simplify it until you are either ready for a detailed description or want it.
Unfortunately ski instructors sometimes dont get that-prob more so the foreign ones?

you're right though-the pole plant can be used as a starting point for the turn-as long as it is kind of "up and out" with a strong movement it will help keep the weight in the right place and not a short "flicked" movement near your boots
