I stayed in Chalet Topaz years ago , small , quaint and right on the piste.
Won't disappoint |

Have been in Courmayeur this week and although not a huge area it is big enough to explore for a few days, lots of off piste if you like that sort of thing.
The town is very pretty and quite chic, good bars and restaurants but don't go shopping if you have your credit card in your pocket ! Overall , beautiful town , great skiing if for only a few days , but as others have said, the bus system links easily , we went to Pila for the day. TP |

Me neither , think TH just updated and said Hi , still love skiing and divorced now, that's it really.

Yes we all felt a bit down about not being able to ski but ultimately we felt safe , on the way down the gondola the empty ones returning back up the mountain were wildly swinging in the wind.
It has been snow/ sleet all night so the top hopefully has had a good dump. Icey , it is not cold at all averaging around -1 to 4 degrees here so I can assume it's similar in other regions in the alps. The problem now will be Avalanche s as swingbeep has mentioned. It's going to be an interesting day! |

In Pila they funnelled everyone off very early. But we felt that there could have been an extra half an hour skiing before they should have closed.
but we would say that ! Let's see what tomorrow brings ??? |

Hi Adders , we were lucky as we travellled here on Sunday missing the Saturday mayhem , the stories I have heard were crazy.
Weather here has been super, snow overnight and bright sunny days, however just woken up to rain at resort level but will be dumping on the Hill. Off to try Pila today. TP |
