Thanks Dave - I appreciate you mentioning that. I'd really like somewhere a bit "small & friendly" 'cos its quite intimidating when you're a bit pants compared to everyone else! Also, last time we went, we had quite a trek on a ski bus so being near the slopes & facilities is my preference. I've been a bit unlucky with the snow conditions on my previous visits and whilst I know nothing is guaranteed, I want to concentrate on "best bets". I really want the opportunity to get better this time! You didn't mention Norway in your original reply. Is that not suitable for beginners? Thanks again

Hubby & I are looking to go skiing the week before Xmas but I don't know where's best to go to to be sure of some decent snow. We're late 30's (no kiddies!)& have only skiied a couple of times so we need somewhere that's good for beginners & we prefer accom in easy reach of slopes. Any suggestions gratefully received....thanks....
