Have you looked at the Arlberg Express coach service? Not sure how late it runs, but we have used it for a daytime transfer from Zurich to Lech via St. Anton in the past.

I am not aware of any public lockers, but if you are hiring skis/boots from one of the Lech hire shops, they can be stored there. The other option is to use a retractable wire combination lock thing which will at least stop someone accidentally walking off with your skis outside the Krone bar or the Pfefferkorn bar.

Lech is one of our favourite places but Ski Route 33 is one of my least favourite runs and I always feel very relieved to reach the bottom! We tend to ski it in the morning, rather than afternoon when the legs are feeling tired, and have never managed to find it pisted. It has an annoying uphill slog in the early part too. It's a long run and can get quite busy as it is part of the White Ring circuit.

Where are you thinking of staying? We have stayed in 1650, Reberty and La Tania all of which are better value generally. 1850 can be horrendously expensive - avoid Chalet des Pierres in particular. 1650 is probably the furthest however for getting to Val Thorens and back.
We found Le Bouc Blanc above La Tania to be welcoming, reasonably priced and good foodwise. |
