Hi Dave
Can't imagine anyone was thinking you were holding anything other than a digi!!!! Manchester is our nearest airport, I know they go to Innsbruck or Salzburg had not looked at trying to fly anywhere other than. What plan of action would you suggest? Where are your skis bound for on the 26th? Kind regards Jane |

Hi Dave
Thanks for your reply again. Because we have to go either 26th or 28th December it is proving very difficult, tried every tour operator. Suggested trying DIY but with dates involved etc still proving major headache. So Niederau was next choice with hope of being able to get across to westendorf. Thanks, as now know its possible. BTW got such brain ache earlier went onto youtube to look at pistes and guess who I found - you Dave. Awesome video, I can't believe you held it whilst skiing - no shakes or wobbling, amazing. Kind regards Jane |

Hi
Thank you both for your replies, another question if I may - Is it possible to get from Hopfgarten to Westendorf? Free bus from hotel in Niederau to Hopfgarten, but all the nice looking blue runs are in Westendorf. If not a bus, are there taxis in Hopfgarten and if so are they difficult to book or need to pre-book? Thanks in advance Kind regards jane |

Flew to Turin on 25th March from Manchester.
We had no problems with luggage or anything. Both outward and inward checking in was fast and efficient. Luggage was fine - on correct carousel for cases and skiis. No confusion at all. Reps (Crystal Ski) were all brilliant - friendly, helpful & polite. So I guess we were very lucky. |

Went to Risoul on 25th March.
It was a great resort for skiing, almost ski in/ski out. Good snow Good pistes Plenty of variety for all levels Lift Pass covered both Risoul and Vars Hotel was clean, warm & food was absolutely brilliant & plenty of it - all included in price. Apres ski was a little bit low key, but it's really what you make of it. We had a brilliant last night snow ball fight with all the children in the hotel, hotel staff, reps etc. Afterwards (after lot of apres ski !!!) went to play on snow shovels - really great fun. I would go back again in a shot. A great value holiday, no queuing for lifts etc. Definitely worth looking at. Great for families, couples, singles, skiers and snowboarders. |

Hi Rich
Was in Sauze D'oulx over xmas to NYeve. It didn't snow whilst there, and was warm!! noticing up at the top that the snow was gradually melting as the week progressed. By mid-week in the afternoons ice patches were all over, lots of stones coming through and in places tufts of grass. Made for interesting skiing. Some of the lifts were closed as were some pistes, but still had a brilliant time. At that time reports on various sites were 80cm top and 40cm lower level of snow. I have read they have had some snow so that can only be good. I'm sure you'll have a brilliant time. onlyjane |
