Wasn't me.

Although I did like your simplicity.

Mind you I did "like" on brooksy's "Its only hard for the first 50 years.

But, Wickers - your post on a nice job for the next 50 years !!!!!!
Such a defeatist.
Have you no ambition????

What's wrong with retirement??

Still dying snapzzz? How's the fitness regime going? This thread has been suspiciously quiet......

After pigging out on pizzas and ice cream in Italy in August I hit my all time weight high at 14st 3 pounds. Did lots of swimming as well so could have been worse. Anyway, not happy so I've embarked on a new regime of increased exercise and cutting out biscuits, crisps and late evening glasses of wine. 5 weeks in and 5 pounds lost. Aiming for 13st which would bring me back to within 7 pounds of my weight as a lean and mean 21 year old back in the late 80's. My wife also doing the same thing so hopefully we can keep each other going.

Wish me luck!! Not sure I'll get there but nice to have a target!

Am back to running now 5 months after surgery. Only 0.5 miles but is a start, biking / rowing / skipping no issue. What am shocked about is the reduction is muscle strength. Doing a lot of 1 legs squats throughout day but ultimate strength totally disappeared! Started again lifting 35% on Squat and 40% on Dead Lift, when compared to pre-surgery. Long way still to go and winter is coming fast. Minimum 3.5months to drag body out this hole.

For sure in part conditioning was a contributing factor to injury. No time to lose would be my suggestion for those skiing in Dec-Jan.

Got out on the mountain bike this morning for an hour or so. Very muddy though at times. Knackered when I got back to the house.

This must be doing me some good.
