- Can I drive the car to another country?

Yes, you can drive to other European countries with prior Solmar consent and paying an extra European insurance. It is completely forbidden to drive in North African countries, (Morocco, Algeria, etc.)

Thank you for the advice

I guess it's best to check and be sure you will be covered. Pepecar seem to have a very easy to understand set of T&C's. I wasn't aware of this surcharge from other rental comapies, thanks for the input!

Also from Wikipedia:

The "ruc català" or "burro català" (Catalan donkey) is a relatively recent symbol of Catalonia. It was chosen when the need was felt in Catalonia to produce something genuinely Catalan to oppose to the Spanish Osborne bull. The bull was perceived by Catalans as a centralistic symbol, alien to their culture.
