My husband is 48 and is worried about not sleeping before our holidays because he's so excited
Panic over now anyway. I rang the travel agent to see if they had any reps out there they might be able to get in contact with. They do and it was only closed for the one day....phew.

Well Well Excited now!!!!

Hey 4 x 4 I take it you live in Andorra? Where abouts are you? We are off to Arinsal / Pal

Hi Budvegas! No, not Andorra, but a small town not so far from Barcelona. It's close enough to Andorra though that I can drive there in a couple of hours, ski all day, and be home again for dinner. The TV in Andorra comes mainly from the Catalunyan stations of northern Spain, and this was a
leading news story on most of them. I like Arinsal very much, and the snow was already great when I was there a couple of weeks ago. Most of the resorts in the Pyrenees are reporting anywhere from 25 cm and up of new snow from this fall alone, with a chance of more snow on Sunday.. Have a fabulous time, folks!

Just an update, the TV news tonight is that the ski areas in Andorra and the Pyrenees are on avalanche alert for the weekend..

I think Andorra is having a superb weekend, powder everywhere....

We just got back from Arinsal.

Snow is great there at the mo, Wednesday was closed due to avalanche risk and too much snow. Those pictures posted was just what it was like. We took the free bus from Arinsal to Arcalis and got as far as La Massana, took over 2 hours to do a 15 minute journay, needless to say the skiing was great.

All back to normal on the roads at the moment there.

And as an aside when the agents quote 3 to 4 hours transfer from the airport, take that with a pich of salt. Depends on traffic, weather, and idiots taking ages to get their stuff of the bus and forgetting where they put their phone, mp3 player, tickets, passport etc.

Took us over 5 hours to get from Aiport to Princessa Parc, Arinsal. Only just made it in time to see the Rugby.

We were at the Princessa Parc, three years ago and our transfer was 5 hours + both ways, now when I went there 25 years ago it was less than 4!! Really enjoyed it there, as it was great for the family and realtively inexperienced, but that transfer will definately put us off going there again.
