Wow, what a great tale.

Pavel, after the superficial skiers read what could lie ahead, they will turn into the ones struggling to reach the diamonds covering those rolling slopes.

I was looking at some of these diamonds on the MSA web cameras lately. It is amazing how many still exist. But the picture I have of you travelling in the convertible this time of year with skis in the passenger seat displays the Rossignol brand... I'll have to alter that image . However not too unlike Narnia, this image is "frozen" in time on a locked hard drive.

And as I see the blue "beast" hugging a curve in the road beside the lake with the Olympic site in the background, I can hear the musical sounds of KD Lang ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P_NpxTWbovE drifting from your car. And yes,in my picture too, the smells of new growth as spring comes forth fill the air. What a lovely sunny spring day for a ski trip slightly south. Possibly this tune enhances the trips down the hill on the skis too.

Mike,
There is something special to be in a ski resort with those ice castles melting in Narnia and all is quiet ,,except for the melting castles and soldiers.

Many skiers avoid skiing Spring snow because it is so "sticky",,yet "virgin spring slopes" are millions of tiny ballbearings with no resistance! No drag!

It is like skiing powder since you do not have to edge hard,,yet snow is very fast!
I introduced my Narnia world to my friend from Romania and I could feel his desire to try the slopes! Unfortunately we were just hiking ( no room for skis and friend in convertible sports car)!

That ski resort near you with "sugar" on top is still open and we are in May!

One more trip to a "bowl" where there is still 10 feet of base then sailing, windsurfing and hiking in Narnia!
