Rossfrae, I ain't wrong. Read it again, I explain why you need both. I carry both. I certainly wasnae explicit, but if you are smart enough tae find your way to that Canada place...... implicit might spring to mind.
I'm dreaming of a white January, February, March, April, well til 6th April.
Starting in France in 10 hours, ending in Niederau April 6th. Wee break in Feb, cause its awfy crowded.

Hi There
Off to Bardonecchia myself tomorrow, its a great little resort. We went last year at the same time and conditions were pretty dire, but have heard that conditions are great there now and they are forecasting varying amounts of snow for most of next week.
I have only ever needed glasses to ski in so far, only my 3rd time this year, but will be taking goggles as well.
Have a great holiday and if we happen to bump into each other hope its in the bar and not on the slopes.

There is a good pack you can buy from TK Maxx which is a piar of goggle and a pair of wrap around sunnies for about £20.
I can't remember the brand name but it looked like a decent starter pack.

Wait a second - it was Sinner which isn't too bad a brand.

I would say if you were going to be buying goggles then choose some with interchangable lenses. That way you can have the orange low-vis lenses for when it's a bit chicken-soup out there and switch to mirrored for them luvvysunny days.
Obviously you don't have to get mirrored lenses immediately. Perhaps get the googles for this trip and a mirror lense for your next!
I started wearing my goggles all the time this season. My eyes tend to 'squirt' when the wind gets up and I've just got sunglasses on. They can easily squirt all the way to the inside of the glasses which makes a bit of a mess!

Have you been to the doctor's about this
Personally I will always wear sunglasses whenever the conditions allow as I prefer the better field of vision they offer, that said, I ALWAYS have my goggles with me as you can never tell what the weather's going to do and it is not fun trying to pick your way down the hill in the middle of snowstorm (sorry if that sounded a bit 'Scott of Antarctic but you get the picture)

I also think that when wearing goggles with my helmet it looks less like some great bowling ball attached to my shoulders than when I'm wearing the helmet with sunglasses.
That's probably the reason.
