Real Ale,

I have concluded that it is worthwhile to take 5 minutes with student and get to know what he/she expects to learn and what learning style is better.

You are right about SOME males who expect you to teach their way!

It always makes me proud when I see a small 120 lbs. girl do a beach start ( without wetting her toes), that I just taught her and that male is still powering ( due to poor technique) the sail for 15 minutes.

Yes windsurfing is another sport that requires technique, not muscle. The wind will always be stronger!
