I have been looking around for a while, I can't understand how I missed the conrad sale![]()
Zzzzzzzzz
Anyhow, keep your eyes peeled, there will still be good bargains coming up over the summer.
I reckon a nice pair of Dynastar Legend Sultan 85's in 170/175 would suit you sir
Sultan 85 - really lovely all round ski.
But haven't they stopped this one - Sultan 90 or 95 still being made but I think this model has been replaced by something called the Outland this year?

No idea if it's in the Lineup or not. There is a Legend 85
tho..
If the Sultan is out of production, more chances for a sale bargain!

I'd not go with their binding rec. though, much prefer Px12's.

Funny enough i have been looking at them, might go a bit wider though
2013 Salomon Rocker 2 108. They are looking pretty tempting, but add in new skins and breaks for bindings and does not become cheap upgrade.
Am thinking, stretch touring skis for another year and invest in some real piste skis this year. Something around 65mm underfoot to help in separation.
Incidentally if someone is after a pair of Dynastar 4 x 4 contact 167 then I can donate. Few years old and super heavy but great all round ski and in decent nick.

Hi Ranchero_1979,
I hired those skis in Meribel in January this year, and they were the best skis I've ever been on (once I got over complaining about how much they weighed, that is!).
Where have you got them? You wouldn't happen to have them in Tignes would you?
I should think 167 would be okay for me - I am 5 foot 10 inches. And I know I am female and these are male skis, but I nearly always seem to end up with male skis when I'm hiring them
The main reason I haven't bought any skis of my own is that I wouldn't be able to carry them to wherever I'm ski-ing. But there seem to be several companies now who will deliver them and bring them back to the U.K. for about the same price as ski carriage on most airlines.

Skis are in Chamonix. I will not be heading back there for about 6 weeks but then can look into how to send them. Likely I will pass through UK in July if they need moving back there instead of France.

Thanks Ranchero,
Tignes is where I need them, for our J2Ski group ski holiday in Les Brevieres on 13th January. How funny that they are in Chamonix - that resort was second favourite when we were deciding where to go
I will send you a pm, thanks
