Walking in ski boots is great exercise.

Isn't Deer Valley the place where snowboarding is banned?

Sounds extremely civilised. Maybe some of them should emigrate to France ;)

That cart idea sounds great, at the bottom of the big cable car in Avoriaz there is a car park. Walking across 2" thick ice wearing ski boots is challenging at the start of the day, never mind at the end with tired legs

Nice photos Trencher, see you treated yourself to some Avengers. Snow looks good despite the poor season, not many people about. What's the vertical range? Both resorts look like they are a bit limited in that respect. The changing room certainly beats putting your boots on in an icy car park. The food doesn't look very appetising, I like my meat joined up!

Vert may be limited maybe just 1000 metres, but The Canyons is huge.... http://www.canyonsresort.com/trail_maps.html

As for dining at Deer Valley, it depends on your budget http://www.deervalley.com/dining_shopping.html
