Just ordered my tag for use enroute to Belle Plagne. I will give feedback on my experience afterwards ;)

it arrived today, and much smaller than I thought it was going to be. Lets hope it makes life a bit easier, since I wont have to wake the wife when we approach the tolls :)

We bought one last year for our trip to VT and it worked really well. It has since been used again for a trip without problems.

It is quite disconcerting when you can approach the barrier at slow speed and it just lifts.... at the last minute!!

On a couple of the tolls when we got to the barrier a ticket came out of the machine and was then whipped back in when the device registered. Most alarming.

It gives off a small beep when it registers, so you will know whether it has worked or not.

Good device, saved some time and queuing and they take the money out of your account on the dot of when they say they will. Easy website, easy to see the tolls you have used and very efficient service. We did check that we had been charged the car rate because we have a large 4x4 and they say you can be mistaken by the system for the next toll rate up but we did not have any problems, even with skis on top.

I recommend it.

Back from Belle Plagne today :(

This device worked well, but Im not convinced. Im sure it did save us some time, but not much since we travelled outside of peak hours and the tolls were clear. For me it is a convenience thing ( not having to have cash or cards ready...or...diving out the window for a ticket ).

Im waiting to get the final bill through, including the monthly charges for using the tag ( sods law we used it in 2 months, so 2 charges ).

if you plan to travel in peak hours then I can see the advantages :)

I wonder if it was you we saw nipping through the tolls earlier today!
We did comment that some cars obviously had a tag, but we caught them up in minutes, so from a time point of view not much benefit when tolls not chocka.
The roads were pretty good weren't they. Much like the slopes. No queues.

I used my SANEF Liber-T screen tag for the first time over the last two weeks. Well, it worked fine - although a bit unnerving the first time you use it. As mentioned, if the traffic is light it doesn't save much time, but on the return journey Fri/Sat a couple of tolls were busy and we sailed through. Southbound, the queues were heavy and I reckon you could save an hour+ of queuing on autoroutes down to the Mediterranean in peak school holidays. I also didn't appreciate that the tag isn't vehicle-specific, so you could share one between family members or friends. Also, it's obviously ideal for lone GB drivers.
