I'm watching it. My OH has just gone out of the room ~ she cannot bear to watch. And she re-iterated her concern about fast skiing.

Superb programme.

Struck by what a brave man Silvano Bettramelli (sp) is, despite being in a wheelchair for eight years after crashing at Val D'Isere.

And the French Olympic champion gutsy enough to admit his nerve had gone after a horrible smash.

Downhillers: stupidly courageous.

Brilliant show. I'd love to see a part two where Johnson himself tries out skiing! But the insights into the mentality of the competitors was fascinating and really touching in some cases. If the rest of the BBC coverage of the Winter Olympics is that good we're in for a treat.
