Hello all,
I'm currently having issues with finding cheap accommodation for 2 and wondered if anyone has any advice or experience...
We're going to be going out to La Plagne on 30th Jan to visit a friend. She is in Belle Plagne, so although we're on a tight budget we are also quite strict in that we want to be either in Belle Plagne or at least within easy reach. The issue is that so far everything we find wants to sting us for the lack of people in our party! We're looking at supplements of anywhere between £200-£600!
Any help greatly appreciated,
Robin

Try booking the apartment with a company such as Interhome, or P&V. You book the property direct.

under occupancy supplements can be a real racket - a cheap holiday on paper becomes very expensive when you get into it
If there are only two of you then I'd look at hotel / chalet rather than self catering as these are based on two sharing - not 4 or more
Yes it will be more expensive as an "up front" price but you'll know what you're paying without searhing for extra costs etc. A chalet is more expensive but the attraction of wine with dinner and tean and cakes as you come off the slopes may be a value add that makes it more cost effective overall - especailly with the Euro so strong and the French mega areas being so pricey these days

Thanks very much for the advice guys.
We have also considered booking at the very last minute, and I know it is often possible to fill gaps in chalets this way, but this obviously won't suit our inflexibility!

You can also try booking an apartment direct with the La Plagne tourist board through their website, although you will have to find your own flights and transfers. I have booked direct with the tourist board in other resorts and so far it has worked out fine.
I had a look for you, and they had apartments suitable for 2 people in Belle Plagne from 340 euros, although you might have to have 2 single beds.
I don't know if this link will work but I'll try it.
