I'm having a detox but of my own planning for the next 8 weeks before my summer hols. I ate and drank badly last week in Venice. Well, not badly in terms of how it felt at the time, but you know what I mean.

Beer - out

Bread - out

Snacks inc biscuits and chocolate - out

Fast and convenience food - out

Starbucks - out




Chicken and fish - in

Salad - in

Water - in

The odd glass of wine - in

Lunchtime diet bars and milkshakes - in



I'll continue with porridge in the mornings and a lowish calorie meal at night - thats how I managed to lose 1.5 stone last summer, but I really need to start doing more physical exercise to lose the inches as well.

Answer = It is a punishment. If he were executed, it would be over swiftly. By Jailing people for life, they are being punished and know there is no chance of parole.

Very good point, however if that is the case why does death row exist? If someone had gone on a murder expedition and my family fell into that I would want them dead rather than, as one of the inmates referred to it, "being in a playground"
