Just a note to all those who are driving ...from July you need to carry 1 (its recommended have 2) unused approved breathalysers in the car or its an €11 fine by the Gendarmes

Brooksy is looking for a MALE to share an en-suite twin room with balcony, room number 6.

And if anyone else is interested in going on this holiday with us, would you please either post a message up on here or send me a pm. The basic description of the holiday is on the first page of this thread, and at the moment we still have several spare rooms in the chalet.

Thanks,

Ally

What happens with hire cars? Will they have them in already?

Brooksy, how about posting a new thread in the "Find a Ski Buddy" forum and ask the same question (providing the link to this thread for details)????

It just crossed my mind that the "Find a Ski Buddy" is one of the forums that always stays "on top", right on the Ski Forum Index list! So there might be a better chance to be noticed by somebody who would be interested. (...By contrast this thread would be found only by people who either have an interest of checking out the "France" forums, or who would scroll down to the bottom on the page to see what were the new threads in the "Latest Ski Chat"...)

Hi Cat

Early days yet & may look into your suggestions further down the line when desperation creeps in

Firstly I got to deal with all the PMs from Romania, Russia & Thailand, find it hard to believe that so many women from these countries are dedicated skiers might have to bump some of these to Icey, apparently he`s good at this sort of thing

Icy, having driven in France for nearly 30 years, I have had the occasional run in with Les Gendarmes

Trust me when I say, much better to spend the fiver and be sent on your way, than suffer the joy of the Gendarme when he discovers an Englishman who has infringed the rules If all you get away with is the 11€ fine and probably an hour of your time, then you would have been extremely lucky.
