I'm using a pair of Salomon X free 8 Skis, that I've had for five years. I notice that the latest skis are fatter and shorter, and I wonder whether I'd get any real benefit from changing ? I ski mainly on piste.
Cheers

On your next trip, rent some new skis for a couple of days, and see how they feel.
Sallies, do have a tendency to go a bit soft and floppy when they are old!
I got some new ones today, Elan Mag 6 or something, Shorter and Fatter, equally stiff, will soon see if they are any better, I guess its like having one car for some years, you just get used to it, when you change it the new one feels wrong, until you get used to that one. I bought an Audi TT as well today.

Good luck with the new skis and the car. Mk.1 or 2?
