We had the best snow I have ever experienced.

OldAndy gives a good overview here http://www.j2ski.com/ski-chat-forum/posts/list/11775.page#104945

Enjoyed L2A, hoping to go back next year.

My advice would be to avoid any green runs. A lot of them seem to be flat for massive parts of them :-(

Ah great advice thank you. really getting quite worried though as looking at the forecast there saying temperatures as high as 10 degrees plus next weekend and no real snow fall anytime soon. by that time it will mean there has been no significant for a month and really quite warm weather to come. really not what i wanted to hear and was my biggest fear all along in regard to skiing in march.........

just hope the forecasts are wrong and there is still decent snow when we go in march.... ( i appreciate there is the glacier but went for here due to decent ski in ski out hotel )

fingers crossed people and lets do the snow dance.

Matt23, stop worrying. L2A has heap bit glacier. Lots of snow. Runs back to resort may be pants, but who cares? The green back to resort is rubbish anyway. If you want to keep an eye on snow conditions, use easiski's snow blog or www.2alpesnet.com. The reports on www.2alpesnet.com are funny, anyway.

Cheers.

Dobby (who'll be doing a snow dance cos you can never have enough of the stuff)

cheers for that but woth the current weather temps that are forecast im getting a little concerned. temps said to but way into the plus side of things and a friend currently in meribel saying things are very rapidly getting sugary and very tracked out even on piste due to sheer amount of people and the warmth....

really neex this warm snap to bugger off a little for everyones sake.

We were there last March, just take a look back at historical weather if you can and we had zero issues - okay, nursery slopes not good, but if that's not what you're after, shouldn't matter to you! Seriously, it'll be fine, check out the webcams and you'll see...
Up there for thinking, down there for skiing...
