IceGhost,

Wow!!!
I think I will have to award a prize for the most imaginative use of the poles to you!

Now has far as back-scratcher did you take out baskets?

This Fall I used my old poles as guides for laying out flower bulbs in garden!

Another great use, ( but do not tell this to students in high school) is using poles as great a bean shooters! Yes! You take a section of pole, cut a 1 meter section and tapered end actually "tighthens" bean as it comes out! Thus creating greater pressure !
Try it

51. To put your pub/club stickers on chairlift pylons.

52. For wife to stab you in the cheek with when you attempt to teach her to Ski and fail miserably.

53. To deposit underwear as far as possible up a tree when you're on a chairlift.

54. Boring I know, but if planted hard enough while turning on moguls, helps to reduce your ground pressure, thereby making the turn easier.

surface to air missiles.

Oh come on I didn't raise any eyebrows at that one? hehehe For my last run I decided to go to the highest peak in the resort and truck it down. I got way to tried and had to have patrol pick me up and drag me down. I didn't want to risk falling down a wooded blue, with my luck I was holding on to the sled, skis and poles and my camera. (Got some gnarly shots) and I guess I moved a certain way and my pole shot out of the back of the sled. Four days later is hasn't been recoved. Better a pole then my hide
