Not sure yet, we have the week booked off and i am going to see what comes up. My father in law is potentially very ill and his test results come back next friday. We will book once we have a clear picture on that.
I like the look of Serre Che, i recall you asking me along which was very kind. Maybe we will meet up there after all.
The only issue i have with the place is that it looks a little less like traditional villages and more like a few hotels scattered along a busy road.
Is this correct?

Serre Che is actually about 13 small villages running along the valley floor.. The 4 main ones , 3 really plus a town are Montier, Chantmertle, Villeneuve and Briancon. A ski bus connects all regularly. There are pools in Briancon and Montier (outside spas here)and lots of very French Bars ...and a few Brit type ones....(La Grotte and Le Frog come to mind) and for France beer and food is not to expensive. Snow record is good and there is extensive skiing both on and off piste 250kms . Like Tony-H I like it there.

No. But best avoid stopping in Chantmerle IMO. Monetier and Villeneuve have lovely little villages, although there have been some newer developments around the lift bases.
The place is brilliant. Dont think about it, book it.
