Mike from NS posted on the "Exciting" thread that he was off to the basement to tell his skis that it was 97 days until skiing time. This made me wonder about who keeps their skis where. I work from home most of the time, and my skis are 2 metres away from me by the wall in my office, stood up next to the other half's skis.

Does anyone else keep theirs in their office, or somewhere far more interesting perhaps?

sometimes mine are leant up against the wall, but at the moment they are under my bed. I prefer them all up against the wall though, so i can see them all the time :D

Mine are spread out on the floor in a spare bedroom. It's good to know they are out and about ready to go whenever.

Under the bed in a ski bag.
Is there any particular way you are meant to keep them?

As long as it isn't too damp, too cold or too hot you'll be fine,

Damp shouldn't be a big problem so the cellar is just fine, but dry isn't too good. Skis also shouldn't really be stored upright clamped together, horizontal is generally better than vertical, that's just the way a shop does it.

By damp I mean the kind of humidty a wine cellar has as oppossed to a sauna of course.
