I wasnt sure which forum to post this, so thought this would do for starters.
I am looking into a short break over the Xmas period. Flights are not an issue, as I can use up airmiles at an otherwise expensive time of year. However, BA will only allow me to fly to Geneva, Zurich, Turin, Milan, Verona, Nice or Lyon.

I am looking for somewhere that would be very easy to get to, in terms of either public bus or train services, and with short transfer times, and where I could book a small apartment for a few days.

Dates are looking like Dec 26th/28th out, returning Dec 31st or Jan 1st.

With those specific airports in mind, does anyone have any good suggestions on where might be good to consider, cheap, and easy to get to?

Thanks.

Ideally I need somewhere I can get to with a regular, efficient and cheap bus or train link. I also dont want to go somewhere thats going to be packed or full of park rats, so that kind of rules Chamonix out maybe?

Some good looking resorts in the Aosta Valley, which I gather is easily accessible by train from Turin.

What I am really looking for is not names of resorts, but places people know about and advice on transportation from the main airports.

Pila on the brain, H?

Wasn't thinking of anywhere in particular, tbh.

Phone Aosta Railways and ask for Inspector Camoranese.

It'll be a laugh, if nothing else.
