tour du Ciel, day 3 (photos)

An 0430 start by head torches again, this time we're climbing the Blanc de Moming first by skins then on foot as it gets steep. It's on this climb a minor disaster strikes and I shear a hinge in my boots. I've got crampons on and it's not a problem climbing the ridge or skiing the good snow on the other side. There's three climbs today, 810m, 350m and 570m with a combined descent of around 13000m. It's just utterly exhausting stuff, we're on the mountain for 12 hours and climbing into the Tracuit hut I'm just running on empty.



The ascent of the Blanc de Moming was exhilarating, just a pure adrenaline rush and a fantastic ski down in more amazing snow.
