I'm not surprised there were tears, that sounds horrible!
I'm just popping down to the shops - would you like me to bring you back a comic and some sweets? How about a bottle of Lucozade?

Not only did I feel fat, spotty and covered in that horrid white stuff, it was during Euro '96 and all my mates were down the pub watching the England v Scotland, as was mr a (I insisted). One of the lowest points in my life, there were lots of tears

Just to add insult to injury I'm covered in scars, one of which is in the middle of my eyebrows

I hope you feel better soon Rose

And there was me thinking you were a hindu

After growing over 100 chickenpox spots...I also have a lot of scars, and it's so not funny Tony

I had chicken pox at the age of 14, I was absolutely covered in spots on the outside and inside . My biggest memory about that time was my mum meticulously slapping my hand every time I tried to scratch. I hated her for it it at the time but I have no scars and am very grateful to her now.

I am concerned that I have still not had chicken pox. Do many people go their whole life without?

My sons do not remember having it, but they have. Not everyone feels I'll with it you might just not be able to remember...Your mum will know. Not everyone gets lots of spots. When I had it my brother got it too and he had only three spots! He felt really poorly and I felt ok (apart from the itching).
