Tony H, you have to include Zermatt. You can leave it a few years, though, if you wish, Zermatt's greatest attribute is the Matterhorn.
We had a week there last year, but were sufficiently attracted to take a day off from Saas Fee and get another Zermatt day.
There are drawbacks, getting up the mountain in the crowded big cabines, and the associated lift queues, are a pain. Once up the mountain, it is pretty open. The views are terrific, from Zermatt, and from the top. Skiing through to Italy for lunch is very pleasant.

I guess when you typed in Niederau and nothing came up, that was a pretty big clue?
I would try Inghams if you want to prebook. However, you can always get very cheap deals on the usual websites - bookableski.co.uk, skideals.co.uk if you can be a little more flexible and book later. Pensions/Guesthouses there can be had for as little as £150 B&B per person, inc flights and transfers.

Goppy, If you like a quieter location, but with good access to lifts, and ski back to door, then try the Harfenwirt in Niederau. The Tenladen T-bar is just opposite the hotel, from which you can ski down to the village centre - assuming all of your party can use a red run T bar.
I had a few bad experiences at the Hotel Austria, poor food service, dirty hotel room, (full ashtray when checking into the room)

You are too late Tony. We stayed at the Harfenwirt 4 years ago. Our friends made the same Halfwit connection, and did us some "Halfwit Ski Team" T shirts.
So ....been there, done that, got the T shirt.

Something odd going on as Crystal took over all the club hotels last year!
But you're right, doesn't look as if it's on the Crystal site.
It is on the Thomsonski one.
