93) Wrap one in a Yorkshire pudding, pour over onion gravy & serve it as that classic English dish 'Toad in the Pole'

That reminds me - I'd better go & get dinner ready!!!

The plan is.... there's no plan!

Here is a very unique use but one you should all remember in a "survival" condition!

All serious skiers learn how to survival at least one night in the outdoors if ever....

We all know how to make an snow cave!

What many many people do not remember to do is to make several air holes!

With ski pole ( handle end) you make two or three holes in snow cave ceiling!

It will help in your survival!

I'm late to this thread but here's a few uses that I do/have.

101 Placing the poles of several skiers to use as gates and allow the kids a chance to wend their way down between them. The kids love skiing between them.

102 Using the poles as tomato or bean plant support poles in the summer time. I use broken ones for this that I salvage from garbage cans at resorts. They never rot and are sturdy.

103 Saw an advertisement for a car that was promoting it’s use as transportion to ski hills. They showed the gear shift replaced by a ski pole. I think it was an up-market car like a Beemer X-drive or Mercedes all wheel drive. I think that I’ll adapt one of my broken poles to the gear shifter of my VW ’85 Vanagon people mover……the idea is that cool .

Skiing is easy, just turn left & right while sliding downhill, it's the typing and speeling thing dat gets me off kilter! Free your heels along with your heart.

IceGhost,

Wow!!!
I think I will have to award a prize for the most imaginative use of the poles to you!

Now has far as back-scratcher did you take out baskets?

This Fall I used my old poles as guides for laying out flower bulbs in garden!

Another great use, ( but do not tell this to students in high school) is using poles as great a bean shooters! Yes! You take a section of pole, cut a 1 meter section and tapered end actually "tighthens" bean as it comes out! Thus creating greater pressure !
Try it
