America or Europe???

Was thinking of booking a last minute deal to Canada or USA - somewhere I havn't been. Im pretty much a Europe girl.
Were 4 girls (all over 21) who perhaps enjoy the apres javascript:emoticon(':)');
javascript:emoticon(':)');as much as the skiing. Are we making the right decision or should we stick to Europe?
Any suggestions on Lively resorts with good Red/ Blacks over the other side of the Atlantic?
Thanks

The exchange rate at the moment may be a once in a lifetime opportunity (I hope so, as I get paid in dollars)) to ski the US on the cheap.
I would not look for the typical week in a chalet holiday, but rather a chance to mix a cultural experience with skiing. Fly into a city with great shopping (ultimate American culture). Bring little and expect to snap up a lot of bargains. Rent a car. It's cheap to rent and gas is still one pound eighty pence for an imperial gallon (US gal is 20% smaller). Food is very cheap, except at the best resort restaurants.
Do some research to find reduced price lift tickets.
The bonus would be great modern lifts with very civilised queues.
I would recommend Utah from experience.

Sounds like you really care about the skiing! Haha!
I'll be in Tahoe end of February, I am under the impression that it should offer pretty much anything you could want. :)
If you do make it - Welcome to the USA! Have fun!

Hi Guys
Thanks for the advise!!
Haha - well the thought of staying in during the evening does not appeal! Im on Bode Millers side with that one! The better the Apres the better the ski resort.
We may well be taking a trip there soon!!
Cheers

Go to Tahoe!
Great choice of skiing especially with a car. Day trip to steamboat starts with cruise and breakfast, day skiing, then drinks party on boat back.
Oh yes, half the village is in California so quiet bars and live music; the other half is in Nevada so Casinos, restraunts, clubs, the lot.
Good and Cheap. Fly in via Chicago and have a night there
