The correct answer is "until its fixed".

It only got towed in last night so it will be Monday before anyone can assess it.
Then it depends on the extent, but I think a total replacement auto box is the solution. Then it depends on availability as its an older 5 speed auto so harder to get. And then when the garage can do it. And then whether I can afford it or not, which at the moment I cant.

Bugger.

Another strange day at work today.

About 2pm i knocked on the door of a customer that was experiencing problems with his internet connection. It was one of those terraced houses with no front garden, the sort where the door opens directly onto the street. I waited couple of mins before knocking again as there was no answer.
I assumed no one was home and was just turning to leave when i heard a noise on the other side of the door. It flew open and there, naked as the day he was born was this chap,all and sundry swinging in the breeze.

"yes" he says, one had on his hips and one on the door frame - making no attempt to mask his bits from anyone outside.

"Oh" i said, stunned. "I have come to look at your broadband"

"well come in then" he went on, before turning around and walking off. "I'm just going for a dump, be back in a sec"



I'm telling you, get a job where you see people at home.....it opens your eyes....
