Tinted safety glasses work well, are cheap, 100% UV, and won't damage you face if you fall. I've seen some nasty damage caused by wearing the wrong kind of sun glasses during a fall.

I've just done a week in Andorra and tested Trencher's (see Posting 314 dated 05 01 0 Bolle pink (yes pink!) tinted safety glasses recommendation.

Incredible performance in any light conditions.
Well up to my Ray Ban 'Glacier' costing £squillions.

Don't worry that the tint is faint..it's fully UV rated. At a tenner incl postage, for Bolle it's a steal.

Well done that man!

Is this the one you tried Dave? Gonna get a range of glasses and goggles this year and see what tints shapes etc i prefer. At this price these should deffo be involved.

Dave W, About those Bolle safety glasses, they have a very light tint so did you squint it sunny conditions?

To
Iloveskiing,

No, no squinting at all. Reflective or direct sunlight dealt with A1.

Only thought since is that as they are smallish lenses the female skiiers may be concerned about crows-feet (oops!) expression-lines around the wider areas?

But being an old-git, I always say any woman over 35 without expression lines is probably miserable anyway.

Now, where was that door!

Blimey, this has all get a bit technical.

I got a pair of North Face goggles for £25 in TK Maxx, and picked them because they have orange tinted uv lenses reflective on the outside, perfect for almost all conditions.

I also got a pair of North Face sunglasses for £20 in the same place, to wear in the bright sun.

Both were perfect, and I did no squinting. Quite what specifics each lens has, I dont know and I dont really care to be honest. I think its possible to over do some things, possibly?

I don't have a problem with changing my goggle lenses three times a day
