We are searching Austria for 3rd March, loads of deals to be had, just need a bit of time with hubby and calculator!
Rather a bad day on the slopes than a good day in the office!

I am in pain with this

Get out and go skiing, really!

If you're fairly chilled then consider an independent chalet; most will go out of their way to make you feel at home.

If you want something a bit more lively, there are a couple of smaller operators who specialize in mixing up groups and singles - look at Hofnar in Morzine?

It's out there - go get it.

Re March 3rd, I am not paid enough (ahem! public sector worker - you know, the ones Jeremy Clarkson wants shut of!) to ski St Anton, but have got a whole load of places to look at and compare prices, so will yodel at you from the Tirol!!

As regards skiing by yourself, I have done it twice and had a great time, always found people to ski and socialise with - but I am that sort of person so if you are that desperate to go, get yourself sorted!
