Well i certainly wouldn't want to put a needle and thread anywhere near my leather gloves but i would give it a whirl on some older ones for sure.

Update on my GoPro ordered about 2 weeks ago.

8 days after their estimated dispatch date (30th Nov) I get an email reply this morning

They were happy to take my money though. Not very impressed :(
if I'm not skiing then I'm kayaking.

Well, it finally arrived yesterday. They simply can't keep up with pre-order demand...it must be spectacularly good. Time to play with it before I go.

Good stuff. Look forward to getting some feedback.

Enjoy ....
Smartski - hope you get your head round it before the hols and (heresy perhaps) look over the instructions unlike a friend of mine who bought one to go diving on the trip of a lifetime.
Thought he knew all about it - left a vital part in the box, it filled with water first time he used it!

I've not used a Hero2, but I can already say with the H3 the wi-fi link to iphone/ipod-touch is great & the supplied remote is really good.

H3is smaller than H2: a plus. Quality is supposedly better: but yet to test. All-in-all would it really be worth the up-grade?

Instructions - pah!
...It doesn't even come with instructions. Seems to be intuitive though

However my first mistake was reading the Q&A on website which said "uses SDHC cards"....the vital piece of information they missed was "micro" SDHC  so I need to send the first ones back and buy some correct ones.

Although that's not as bad as 'drowning' the poor thing. Just hoping the mount doesn't fall off the helmet.
