Might see you in Torino Airport then - my antisocial take-off is 0525! I'm staying at the Hotel Du Glacier with Neilson.

Hi I skied La Thuile 2 years ago and stayed at Hotel du glacier, we enjoyed our stay and the snow was excellent, however i found the resort quiet and was told the snow was not always as good as we got it

We went to La Ros last year and you can get 'TO' France from La Thuile by chairlift 'BUT' the only way back is by a 10 minute drag-lift. It is worth it though for the spectacular views and some nice skiing in La Ros.

Well, it was most enjoyable despite the cold and freezing winds on a couple of days.
Hotel du Glacier is excellent; no queues at all, very quiet mountain, lift map is crap (the version produced by La Ros is much clearer), La Thuile has the slowest gondola ever built but the chairlifts are very efficient. Black run 25 in the Fourclaz area is the best run on the mountain, blacks 2, 3 and 37 are thrilling ways to end the day, not much tree skiing on a day of poor visibility that closed the international link, dead easy to get to Courmayeur and Pila.
Oh, we left Turin this morning with the snow bucketing down!

There are no chairs linking La Rosiere and La Thuile except on the way from La Thuile to La Rosiere. you take 2 chairs TO La Rosiere but on the way back you HAVE to either take a long 2-3 km button back to red 7 or two buttons to get back to the top gondola station....unless of course they have built new chairlifts in the last 3 weeks
