Maybe the bad workman is blaming his tools?

In good light as suggested mate. I doubt he has good ones in poor light conditions.

Andy, I'm back on the 5th jan. I'm away for new year. And away again on 9th feb.

Yep. You're right. Not much cop in poor light. Great when it's sunny though.

Trying to work out if I can justify the new GoPro Hero3 Black Edition. That's supposed to have much improved low light capabilities. The HD slow mo is also improved which I reckon could be quite effective on a ski holiday.

Yeah it looks a great cam, i saw that on the GoPro website.
I am not sure i would get the best out of it to be honest, a great cam does not make a great photographer. If i bought one it would be down to gadget lust.
It runs at 120fps hence the great slow mo footage.

I think i will be sticking with mine for a while, the apps look cool but there is no way i will be getting my iPhone out on the slopes.

Nice pic, hope you dont mind but i had an edit.....

Too much faff, the don't work with gloves. Unless you have the sort with the metallic thread in the finger tips and i have yet to see a decent pair that do. They are normally very thin.

"10 good reasons" and 25 pages later I've decided to take the plunge. New Hero3 "Black" edition gets released in UK on 30th November - they say all new & improved for low-light conditions.
if I'm not skiing then I'm kayaking.
