Why is Austria so popular ........The Report
I don't think I have said anything derogatory about the Austrians apart from them not smiling enough, although I did say that one of Tonys picture's looked like someone had cooked my garbage, and I agree with Tony that this should not be made into a France V Austria debate......
but I have to disagree with Tony point, that the locals should enhance your holiday experience, the Inghams hotel staff are a bunch of kids who are paid £100 pounds a week I don't think you will always get total comittment from them, and I did think the continuous wait at the bar for a drink did lose them a fair few euros.
And by the way I might just be off to Austria again next year ...... well you never know

it was the waiting for wine to be served that peed me offIan Wickham wrote:I don't think I have said anything derogatory about the Austrians apart from them not smiling enough, although I did say that one of Tonys picture's looked like someone had cooked my garbage, and I agree with Tony that this should not be made into a France V Austria debate......

Yep they seemed to need a touch of persuasion to leave a bottle on the table

That wasn't persuasion. I actually just waved my empty glass in the air and complained to the hotel manager that we were always last to get it. Surprise surprise 4 bottles turned up immediately, but no rose the next night
