From what was being said at the Ski Show, they are very willing to improve things in Livigno. They know they have to do more to attract people as their prices have now risen beyond ridiculously cheap. But, and possibly correctly, they are being stopped as it may impact on the wildlife.
I loved the comment from the lady I was talking to on the stand. "We can hunt the wildlife, we can shoot the wildlife, we can kill and eat the wildlife. But we cannot wake them up with a new piste!"

The new piste prep starts in the summer I have watched them do it in Livigno a few years back, the wild life don't really nod off till autumn ...... I am not a wildlife expert but the Marmots will soon
dig new dens ready for winter.
If not plan B open the shooting season a tad earlier.
