Greetings from Saas Fee

Arrived this afternoon, very efficient railway/postbus transfer, to new snow in town and all over the mountain. The ski area was closed yesterday due to snowstorms. Today 18 out of 22 lifts ran, half-a-metre on lower slopes; powder higher up!

Hardly anyone about - I have the feeling I've got lucky by going this late! :)

What a day - cold and crisp up the mountain. Only six pistes have ended for the season. A little heavy in the afternoon, but terrific conditions for this late in the season!!
