Les 2 Alpes (summer board/ski)

Hi All

Questions in the title. Has anyone been? is it worth it and any tips to make it as cost effective as possible. I will likely travel alone and looks like I will have to fly to Leon (2:30 hours away from resort)by my research alone its totting up some serious coin for a lone traveller.

I have not been but from what I have heard, then....may be! I think that you can only ski mornings, and there are not many pistes open. If you go early in summer then signal blue run will be open, which is a nice piste. Signal usually shuts in July - have a look through Easiski's snow blog to see when it usually shuts. Other people have said that the summer skiing is worth it, if it is part of a summer holiday in which you are doing other things in the afternoon. Good if you are having some tuition too because it gives you something to work on. Have a think about other summer resorts because some have a bigger ski area than LDA during the summer - Tignes and some Swiss resorts.

Have a look at my topic on Tignes from summer 2013. Skiing is really only possible from 7.30 to around 11am each day. After that, the snow warms up too much. Best included as part of a wider activity holiday imo.

I skied for a morning in les 2 alpes ilast summer was ok but have to start early 7am till 12pm 1pm latest as it gets warm and piste gets icy slushy it was also very foggy on the day I went so visibility not great, it's not a vast area ok for summer ski legs practice but not much more really not like winter skiing !
We went for Tour de France cycling so just tried the skiing as we were there anyway, it's ok if you are combining the skiing with other activities but not cheap either. They have prices on les 2 alpes website.
