Off to Soll in a couple of weeks, but getting really concerned about the snow. It's unseasonably warm across there during the day at the moment and looking at webcams for the area, the likes of the Brixen home run looks like pure slush surrounded by grass.
Anybody been recently and can give an update?
Also, anybody know if there is enough snow at lower level to ski (sorry, pole) back to the Gansleit?
I know it's still a couple of weeks away, but I'm hoping somebody will pick this up and respond just before we go.
Skied: On snow, On water, On mud, On slush, On ice. Oh, and on a few dry slopes.

Hi, got back Saturday from skiing in Soll/Skiwelt for a week. Booked ages ago thinking we'll try to go somewhere different.

It's been warm indeed and at resort level there's no snow cover. The runs were great first thing in the morning (we started 8.30)but by lunch time it was like skiing in the spring, not quite what we expected in mid-February. The higher up runs out of sun and less crowded were ok, especially in Going and Westendorf. Never seen so many people being airlifted or falling on the slopes, suppose it was due to the conditions and it being a half-term (= more less skilled skiers).
The both runs from the top of Hochbrixen to Brixen (1,1b)were closed, had to take a gondola down, luckily our daughter's ski instructor warned us about it. The top was looking ok but the half-way down there was no snow on the piste, saw people trying to walk down without falling carrying their skis. The other runs to the resorts were open although very slushy by the end of the day.Not sure where exactly is Gansleit thus can't tell if the run was open.
It snowed (rained lower down)few times during our week thus improving a bit the top runs but it did no good for the lower ones as it's warm. I quite enjoyed the harder and more technical skiing, normally I would just shoot down the slopes. Not sure if my OH was as happy though..

Hope the weather will improve=get colder for your trip. Have to say, we didn't expect to have spring conditions at this time of the year despite the Skiwelt being at low altitude. Missed being in the Dolomites...
