I'm interested in going to St-Anton next year - need help...

Can anyone suggest a good standard of Catered Chalet in St Anton that is not so incredibly Kitch that it puts my grandmothers house to shame...

Looking for the nice things like en-suite shower & toilet, Balcony, Double bed (Twins ok too) Log fire, and has a nice all round alpine feel to it

I've been searching for what seems FOREVER and can only find things that resemble decorating disastors and furniture from before i was born - and not the antique stuff.

Any help much appreciated

Mark Warner have a chalet-Hotel just off the main drag which has great rooms BUT...... Whilst the bathrooms are to a good standard the main areas of the place are very run down. You also have a very noisy bar, Scottys, under the hotel so if you get a room on that side above the bar you WiILL notice it. Location for the main lift is a five minute walk. Have been the last two years but now asking, in my opinion, too much for a second rate hotel. If you do go take a boot dryer and some multi socketed plugs as the boot dryer in the boot room has been broken for at least three years and the bedrooms only have one plug point! Otherwise St Anton is a great ski town just wish MW would invest in their hotel more so as the rates they are asking match their clients expectations.

Think i'll give that hotel a miss Limeski, it sounds awful... i'm going to pay a fortune for the displeasure of staying in a worse standard accom than I live in...

Try VIP chalets. They may have what you are looking for
