For one or two reasons, Passo Tonale has come onto my possibles list for a trip later this season. Has anyone been there? Any tips? Grateful for any advice (apart from the 'go to La Thuile instead' suggestions!)

I have posted this many times …… Passo skiing is very much up and down you will spend more time on the lifts than skiing, the better skiing is down the road in Ponte legno which is connected by piste and gondola ……

Safe snow, but thats about it from people I know who have been. They said it was bleak and lifeless, and as Ian says the skiing was just up and down, nothing interesting at all. If you have other options in that area, I'd seriously consider them.

Agree with all, beware if you go at easter you may find that Ponte de Legro is already closed ...is was last year. As mentioned try La Thuile, or Courmayeur only 1.5 hrs from Geneva and decent transfers.

The resort is high but remember the Glacier is on the north facing side of the valley and the main slopes are south facing …..
