French Ski resorts open

I would like to know which French ski resorts are currently open as we have flights booked into Geneva for next Saturday 8th December?

A few will be open, look to go high.

My personal choice would be Tignes, but I just like skiing there.

A lot of resorts are now opening at the weekends, but if you want to ski during the week you'll have to go high. As OA said, Tignes for certainty but also check Chamonix next week to see what's going to be open (save a couple of hours driving).

Check direct with the Tourist Offices late next week as they can, and do, change their plans at short notice at this time of year.

Also keep an eye on the forecast; the weather models are showing a possibility (no more than that, at the moment) of a fair bit of snow next weekend - possibly enough to give you a few delays to throw into your equation...

You should get some good skiing in somewhere though... 8)
