Snow forecast pretty much all the time you are in Tignes, from about the barage and higher.
Highest temperature forecast up on the glacier is -14C
It was warmer in January
Hi Andy,
I've been keeping an eye on the weather forecast for Tignes as well - my husband hates the cold and the snow and I'd confidently told him there wouldn't be any at resort level at this time of year![]()
I just hope we can see where we're going, in all that snow![]()
oops
Could be first and last?
Tricky !!

My thoughts are that we would continue to go to the alps, and while my frau is skiing, I would just spend all day painting ~ instead of managing with some time at the end of the ski day, making it difficult to finish a painting.
Apart from that, I would spend the time just meeting and talking with locals at whichever village we would be in.
Here's some art you can do on the snow Dave

Wow,that is amazing! I definitely would not use my energy bypassing the slopes! In my more vain moments, I get to think that my pictures will still be on skiers walls in 100 years. That lads art could be gone by a week on Tuesday!

1. Out of the 3 of us, only I had a valid passport - my daughter's was nicked and my husband's was out of date. But now all 3 of us have valid passports![]()
2. All our EHIC cards (for free hospital medical care in France) were out of date. We've now got 2 of the new ones - still waiting for the third one.
Why do people allow this to happen, especially regular(ish) travellers???
I know the answer to this one - 'To err is human' (Alexander Pope).
However, the last EHIC arrived in the post today
But we have a new problem - number 4 I believe - my daughter has just confessed that she left all her ski stuff at uni
Fortunately there is a very simple solution to this - she can wear my old spare stuff
I am NOT going to go out and buy her any new ski gear

Ally - you are too soft on her.
Taking responsibility is a clear necessity for the burdgeoning adult and you should have pointed to the bike and said "sort it".
Tough luv is a good thing.
and ....
For next week, tough luv to MrG - "I don't control the weather"

So - I've got no more sleeps before I leave home, but one more sleep in the U.K. before I go to France, and 2 sleeps before I actually ski.
